I haven't seen the DS programmers on here lately, I'm guessing they're hard at work developing dsSearchAgent 3.2. Here's what I'm hoping to see in the next version:

Autocomplete Quick Search Module
Disambiguation by placing City & State behind Communities & Tracts, and State behind Cities, per this thread (http://forum.diversesolutions.com/threads/293-Disambiguation-and-the-Multi-Function-Location-search-box)
Require Registration to see certain details, a-la the mobile version (love that!)
Register / Login via Facebook (or maybe, Google, too)
New prominent "Ask a Question" call-to-action button on listing detail view
Ability to create custom search links defined by a polygon shape
Ability for users to edit their saved searches
Minimum Price setting in Control Panel - to prevent uber-low-priced listings being displayed / indexed on our site

Fingers crossed! (I think most of these were already on DS's radar, so I'm optimistic!)

I give two thumbs up to all of these suggestions. I have said for years that registration should open up additional information like days on market, links to virtual tours, extra photos.

Here's a another wish I forgot:

In addition to stats and schools, I'd like to see more local amenities available to be displayed on the map, like this:

Here's another way to include local amenities, integrated with bing maps:

Love all the new features in 3.2, especially the Full Screen option and the new registration incentives!

Now, without giving DS even one night to enjoy their accomplishments, I will rudely re-post my newly-abbreviated wish list ;)

Can't wait for version 3.3!

Autocomplete Quick Search Module
in 3.3 (ish, 3.3 and updated/new modules may not be all released at once, but rather in stages)

Disambiguation by placing City & State behind Communities & Tracts, and State behind Cities, per this thread (http://forum.diversesolutions.com/threads/293-Disambiguation-and-the-Multi-Function-Location-search-box)
we're exploring for 3.3

Add a prominent "Ask a Question" call-to-action button on listing detail view
we're exploring on a whole, not necessarily a "feature", we've read all the input given on the forum in this and other threads, but haven't made a decision yet

Ability to create custom search links defined by a polygon shape on the map
in 3.3

Display local amenities on the map
we've toyed with this, but haven't found a data provider we love (yet). We've got schools so far. It's definitely in our list.

Minimum Price setting in Control Panel - to prevent uber-low-priced listings being displayed / indexed on our site
we're looking into making a fix to Custom Links that will allow you to do this

I want this one bad! :o I know others have created this on their own via API. I had started on this myself, but since I thought this was previously discussed as being released with 3.2, I had just decided to wait. Hopefully this will come sooner rather than later!

Looking forward to it. As it is now, the locations are lumped together which causes confusion. People type in "Buckhead" and they get listings in the neighborhood in Atlanta plus listings in the city of Buckhead, GA, which area over 70 miles away from each other. We also have numerous incidents where multiple neighborhoods or condos have the same tract name in different cities. Adding the city and state behind location names would eliminate the confusion.

Awesome!

I wonder how REW does it? I suppose the Walk Score map itself is a way of displaying nearby amenities. Could it be labeled that way? Like "Walk Score / Nearby Amenities" I didn't see anything in their API TOS that would restrict using language like that. Also, we spoke about making the Walk Score map window larger in 3.2. Maybe we could get that in 3.3? Maybe it could be some percentage of the iFrame dimensions, which would allow for a very large map when using the new full-screen option!

You can already control minimum price in a Custom Link. I'm looking for a site-wide minimum, including dsIDXpress. (This wish is much lower on the list than the ones above.)

thanks!

Another wish for my list: Commute time (http://www.walkscore.com/professional/neighborhood-map/commute/) for each property, and the ability to search by commute time! I've seen this on other sites:

Mike, I don't mind admitting, that this has been a desire of mine for about two years. I would _love_ to have this on the site.

I don't think there is much more I can say than that :)

Cool. I also would love the option to overlay the WalkScore "heat map" on the map:

Oh, and I'd also like the option to request registration rather than require it.

(Sorry for the harassment ... I seem to come up with a new wish every day!)

Would love to see on the IDX search page in upcoming versions scripts for "Property Listings Updated in the last "X" minutes" or "15 users currently searching online". Thanks!

I think this is a great idea. I see it on many other sites, and it give the users the idea that the information is fresh and therefore a worthwhile place to get current listing information. I myself prefer the "Property Listings Updated" option.

Here's my latest Christmas wish ;)

I'd like to be able to select "Show Schools" when creating a custom link.

How about Yelp? The SREP plugin does a great job of using the Yelp API to plot nearby Schools, Grocery Stores, Restaurants, Banks, Gas Stations, Golf Courses and Hospitals on a map. If a free plugin can accomplish this, surely DS could easily build this same functionality into the dsSearchAgent map. No?

Don't know if this would be a dsSearchAgent or mobile item, but I'd like to see custom links retained in the mobile app.
