    Marc -

*Very* visually appealing and professional look. (though personally, I find white text on black background difficult to read).

The first thing I look for on a site is an "About" page. Our about pages are consistently some of the more highly visited pages on our site. People *do* read them. I didn't see one on your site. It needs one, and one written by you in your voice.

You'll get a little more "SEO juice" if you name your pages with a little more detail in mind. For example, www.lthomes.net/search.html would do better if it was something like http://www.lthomes.net/search-san-di...-for-sale.html. And www.lthomes.net/chulavista.html could be http://www.lthomes.net/chulavista-re...-listings.html

    Something like that.

Look at your home page using different browsers. The photos scroll very nicely on Chrome, and Internet Explorer. The are all displayed individually on Firefox, making the home page text virtually unreadable. Don't discount non-IE browsers. On our site, almost half the visitors use something other than IE.

Your page titles (what appears at the VERY top of the browser) are the same for every page. This is a very important component of SEO and should be optimized for each page.

I would suppress the "Blog" menu button until you have some content on the blog.

The copy on your Buying, Selling and Short Sale pages appears word-for-word on hundreds of other sites, with no attribution to the original source. Depending on what the original source is, this is quite likely a copyright violation. You'll want to replace that copy with original content, in your voice. That will address copyright concerns as well as let those pages perform MUCH better in search engines.

The copy on the Agents page is an exact duplicate of this page: http://www.moreland.com/our-agents/

And I just realized that apparently you're the site developer, not the site owner. So when you see things in my response like "your voice", what I really mean is "the site owners voice".

Nice work. It just needs some SEO tweaking. And original content on those text-heavy pages.

    Thanks for the site review

    Jay,

Thank you so much for your feedback. You're right on all levels. I will make corrections asap.

I'm a web developer and in researching IDX solutions, I discovered Diverse Solutions and suggested to my client, and implemented it. Site launched just last week. They didn't provide any text copy (per our agreement) so I improvised a bit to provide a basis for them to see what should go there so they can re-write it. That will be done soon.
