    Simple Search Bar

If I have missed this somewhere in the forums I apologize. I have a client wanting a very simple and clean interface for their website. They use dsIDX to display their listings in wordpress.

I am trying to get a simple horizontal search bar on their front page and I cannot seem to find the right piece of code to accomplish this. I basically just need the "location" search field only from the advanced MLS search form.

I am attaching a link to the picture of what they want if anyone knows or can point me in the direction to find this code it would be much appreciated.

Here is a link to the example home page:

Thanks for any help or direction!

    Hey minorprophet,

There are a couple of ways you can go about doing this. Firstly, you could utilize the ShortCode of our "quick search" on the homepage. The shortcode looks like this:

    [idx-quick-search format="horizontal"]
This will insert the horizontal format of our quick search onto the homepage. There are also a few 3rd-Party plugins for WordPress that you could use to achieve this functionality. Check out:

Both of these will allow you to create shortcode from widgets and stick them pretty much wherever you want.

If you have any further questions, I recommend contacting our support staff.

    Have a great day!
